Thanks for the advice and bringing more light to this subject.
As I've been in different industries throughout my career, I've always felt the "I'm not prepared for this, I'm taking someone else's spot that's more qualified than me".
What has worked for me is to, counterintuitively, accept that I'm an "impostor". I'm not qualified but I'm here anyway and I'll work as needed so they never catch me in the "lie".
It takes off most of the pressure of being "discovered" and turns it into a "catch me if you can" type of game.
Imposter syndrome is an imposter... 😁 I've always thought my chimp brain has 2 personalities 1 is the naughty one who is funny and cracks jokes & throws stuff around (metaphorically) when he feels a little scared & his other personality is to go hide - this is the imposter. I normally get the other chimp to throw things at him until he comes out fighting.. 🙊🙈
Powerful insights.
The world isn’t set up to welcome you into many rooms. In fact, it’s set up to reinforce the status quo.
And part of that reinforcement comes from within each of us, saying we’re not good enough.
We have to do the work and be ready to step up.
But then, feel the feelings and do it anyway.
Feel the feelings, but do it anyway! 💪🏻 Love that!

Basically, by this age, we know that everyone makes it up as they go along 😎
Hahaha yes. I wish I would find out about that sooner. 😆
How do you personally keep your confidence and muscles strong when self-doubt creeps in?
Doing the reps and surrounding myself with people who lift me up is my way around it. How do you cope?
Growth always asks you to outgrow who you were yesterday.

I like this analogy. I guess telling yourself to get up and do it just as effective.
