It’s not hard to get obsessed making it hard to stop. The guide rails (breaks) have to be non negotiable. Bake the daily breaks like walks, lunch, and workouts into your schedule. Bake regular “vacations” into your schedule. A long weekend a quarter where you shut it off Thursday afternoon and turn it on Monday morning.

The answer is simple; yet it’s damn hard to do.

Agreed, Jon, easier said than done. Regular vacations are possibly the hardest at that stage, but daily breaks are more than practical.

I resonated with this so much, Daniel. I mean I could either just co completely berserk and watching a web show, or just relaxing with my family. Or I am just working non-stop. I feel I have gotten better at this over the years.

"Culture, boundaries, and community" - the answer is almost always so simple. And such a good reminder. Thank you!

I was not good at managing it, but now on a different learning journey, older and wiser, I recognise the signs.
